The Higher Education Academy C-SAP Recognition Award
Dr Àngels Trias i Valls, iCES Academic, has been awarded
the coveted C-SAP Higher Education Academy 2009 recognition award
in Anthropology
The Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Sociology,
Anthropology and Politics has confirmed the 2009
national award to three outstanding academics in recognition to
their contribution to the disciplines of Sociology, Anthropology
and Politics.

Award Details
The award will be presented at the annual C-SAP Conference 2009
on 'Roles, Rights
& Responsabilities: Negotiating Relationships' 25-27
November 2009, Jurys Inn Hotel, Birmingham
An active member of C-SAP since 2001, Dr Trias i Valls
contributes to C-SAP through participation at conferences,
production of workshops and presentation of papers. Dr Trias i
Valls is also present in C-SAP as an anthropology delegate for the
Anthropology Reference Group and for BSA/C-SAP Gender Study Group,
and as embassador for Regent's College at C-SAP. She is the
editor of a C-SAP volume of 'Why Social Sciences
Matter' on 'Employability and Employer Engagement in
Higher Education'. In 2008 she received the HEA C-SAP 2009
Associateship Award in Anthropology. The 2009 award recognises the
contributions Dr Àngels Trias i Valls has made to the discipline of
anthropology in the past years.
