The Future of Energy in Europe
Tuesday 29th January 2008, 6.30pm in Tuke Hall
EBS London, Regents College in association with the European
Commission Representation in the UK, presented the 2008 Jean
Monnet Memorial Lecture hold at the European
Business School London.
“The European Union needs to
speak with a common voice. We must use the size of our market and
the range of our instruments to manage our energy dependency,
diversify our energy supplies and build global support for tackling
the new energy challenges."

Guest Speaker
The talk was led by guest speaker Lord John
Browne of Madingley, managing director and managing partner of
Europe Riverstone Holdings LLD, a New-York-based specialist
in buyouts and growth capital investments in all sectors
of the energy industry. Lord Browne spent 10
years leading BP and was the first senior industry figure to
acknowledge global warming.
The panel debate following focussed on The Future of
Energy in Europe.
