Re-Branding a Country: The Case of Portugal

Lecture by Mr Bernardo Ivo Cruz, Director of the Portuguese
Trade and Investment office in UK and lecturer at the Catolica
University in Lisbon.
Key Note Speaker
Bernardo Ivo Cruz holds a PhD in Politics
from the University of Bristol, a Diploma in European Economic
Studies and a BA in International Relations, both from Universidade
Lusíada of Lisbon.
In January 2008 he was appointed Director of
the Portuguese Trade and Investment Office in the UK. Previously,
Professor Ivo Cruz was responsible for the Club of Madrid Mission
to Support National Reconciliation in East Timor, Under-Secretary
of State for Foreign Affairs of Portugal and Secretary-General of
the Portuguese Council of the European Movement.
In academia, Bernardo was Invited Professor
and Senior Research Fellow at the Political Studies Institute of
the Portuguese Catholic University, Lecture at the School of
European Studies in Cardiff University and Teaching Assistant at
the Department of Politics in the University of Bristol. He has
published work on Democracy, European Affairs and International
Relations.

Mr Bernardo Ivo Cruz will address the audience for 1.30 hours,
followed by a Portuguese food and drink reception in iCES Tuke 301,
