iCES Internship Opportunity
A four week unpaid internship is offered at the Institute
of Contemporary European Studies at Regents College in
London
The successful candidate will work closely on
a research project led by Professor John Drew, Jean
Monnet Professor of European Business and Management at iCES and
the European Business School on the theme of: "the role of special
advisors to government on business issues in the 27 countries of
the European Union"
The Candidate
The candidate should have computer skills
and the ability to analyse information from a very wide range of
sources and to put this into a usable format for continuing
research of the Institute on the subject.
The Position
This position would give the candidate the
opportunity to gain experience in undertaking research
and could be useful for future job applications. The intern will be
provided with office space and computer access and will be able to
use the library and other facilities of Regents
College. The work can be carried out at the College or from a home
base to suit the working hours of the succesful applicant. The work
can be spread over a longer period of time (4 weeks flexible).
He or she will be self- motivated as the work
will involve strategic but little day to day supervision. It
should provide a wealth of knowledge and experience on European
business - government relations which could be useful as part
