iCES Internship Opportunity
A four week unpaid internship is offered at the Institute
of Contemporary European Studies at Regents College in
London
The successful candidate will be part of a
research team on the subject; “ How has European business responded
to the financial and economic crisis?” This will involve
indentifying websites of trade associations,
companies doing business in Europe, press articles other sources of
information to contribute to a study of the different
approaches of companies in the 27 different countries of the
EU.
The Candidate
The candidate must have computer skills and
the ability to analyse information from a very wide range of
sources and to put this into a usable format for continuing
research of the Institute on the subject.
The Position
This position would give the candidate the
chance to gain experience on research and improve future job
applications. The intern will be provided with office space and
computer access and will be able to use the library and
other facilities of Regents College.
The supervisor of the project is John
Drew, Jean Monnet Professor of European Business and Management at
the European Business School
He or she will be self- motivated as the work
will involve strategic but little day to day supervision. It
should provide a wealth of knowledge and experience on European
business which could be useful as part of a future career in
European business.
