The EBSI network

EBSI (European Business Schools International) is a network of European Business Schools that includes the European Business School Paris, the European Business School London, the European Business School Madrid, the European Business School Dublin, Munich Business School, the International School of Management Dortmund, the European Business School Riga – the Baltic Russian Institute and the European Business School Kaliningrad.

A Shared Philosophy

The EBSI group shares a common educational philosophy that prepares the business leaders of tomorrow through developing a professional and international attitude to business in the real world. EBSI schools prepare students for the world of global business with solid theoretical and language courses and with practical work placements.

iCES Partnership with EBSI

From its origins in early 1970s, EBS schools have aimed to prepare students for the challenges confronting Europe and its role in the world economy and world politics. The institute of contemporary European studies (iCES), with its emphasis on European networks and its engagement with debates on the role of Europe in the World became a natural partner with EBSI in the provision of joint programmes, research and publications on contemporary Europe.

The iCES Jean Monnet Memoiral Lecture, the iCES Europe in the World Lecture and iCES Seminars and Guest Lectures provide a forum for debates on business and finance, politics and culture in contemporary Europe.

Promoting Collaborative European Study Programmes and Research

The purpose of iCES and EBSI is to promote the EBS brand and to develop collaborative academic projects, principally student and staff mobility, joint programme developments and joint research.  In addition to existing undergraduate and postgraduate student exchange programmes between European Business Schools, a new joint Masters degree is scheduled to commence in 2009.

Future iCES developments include an Annual European Colloquium.Further information on EBSI can be obtained from Professor Michael Scriven and from the new EBSI website
