Erasmus Grant

The European Commission, through the UK Erasmus National Agency, provides eligible students with a grant to help them with their time abroad. Erasmus grants are available to students who study or work abroad in a European Union (EU) country, an EEA country or Turkey. There are no grants for students who study or work in countries outside of those participating in the Erasmus programme.

Erasmus Grant Eligibility
Erasmus grants are supplementary, non-repayable grants intended to offset any additional expenses you may incur while you are abroad. You are eligible to receive an Erasmus grant if

• You are fully registered and following a recognised degree at Regent’s College
• You study at one of EBS London’s Erasmus partners in Europe
• You study / work for a minimum of 3 months (and no more than 12 months)
• You have completed at least 1 year at Higher Education
• You have not previously received an Erasmus grant (unless you do two consecutive semesters abroad within the same academic year, e.g. Autumn 2011/Spring 2012).

How To Apply For The Grant

If you are eligible to receive a grant, you will automatically be contacted by the International Partnerships Office via email and sent the relevant documents to complete.

The grant is calculated in euro based on the exact number of months you will be studying / working. The amount of grant available varies from year to year. In 2009-10 students received €365 per month. Please note that the amount of grant you receive will also depend on where you go and the length of your stay.

The British Council are the National Agency who administers the Erasmus programme in the UK. Further details about the Erasmus programme including case studies and country guides can be found on their website.
