The Business Relations Team

Matthias Feist - Head of Careers & Business Relations

Matthias FeistMatthias Feist holds a Master's degree in Japanese studies, intercultural communication and psychology from Munich University. He has been working in the careers field since 1998. His experience outside the Regent's College London family includes Munich University, London Business School, and London Metropolitan University's Business School.

He also has experience in industry with Siemens. Since 2011, he is the chair of the Placements in Industry Network (PlaceNet), promoting work placements to improve student and graduate employability. He is also actively involved with other professional bodies and work based learning organisations, aiming to influence HE and employability policy and relationships between Universities and graduate recruiters.

Julian Childs - Business Development

Julian Childs

Julian joined the Business Relations Team in October 2011 as the Senior Business Developer, following two and a half years as a Career Coach at Regent's College London. His 30 year career spans from Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Management Consultancy, Outplacement, Charities and Social Enterprise. This together with his extensive business contacts and passion for connecting people equips him well for this role.

Alongside supporting and coaching entrepreneurial students and alumni to set up in business and develop their careers, his main responsibility is to source valuable external collaborations for Regent's College London. These can generate tangible outcomes including work experience, internships, dissertation projects and job listings for students, post-graduates and our alumni too.

Chris Sleeman - Senior Business Relations Officer

Chris SleemanChris joined the Careers and Business Relations Department in the summer of 2011. He is a lateral thinker who enjoys engaging with businesses in innovative ways.

Having enjoyed 5 years+ working for a private consultancy firm delivering Business Support, Training, Network building and Project Management, Chris is now relishing his role leading the Business Relations team.

He is constantly looking for exciting ways in which Regent's College London can work with Businesses of all sizes from all sectors and is likely to invite you on to campus for a coffee and a show round at the drop of a hat!

Sheepa Miah - Business Relations Officer

Sheepa MiahSheepa graduated in 2010 with a BA (Hons) Business Studies degree from The University of Brighton. She joined the Careers and Business Relations Department at Regent's College London in the summer of 2011 after working in the Brighton Business School's Industrial Placements Office at The University of Brighton.

Having also carried out a one year placement herself working as a Work-Flow Manager in the UK Border Agency at The Home Office, she has experience working in both student and business facing roles and integrates these skills and knowledge to develop Business Relations at Regent's College London.

Being a graduate in this economic climate, Sheepa clearly understands the struggles both students and businesses are experiencing in the job market first hand.
