Internships
The undergraduate degree programmes at
EBS London incorporate work experience and internships with a
variety of companies around the world, to help you gain a practical
understanding of how companies operate. It is also an opportunity
to decide in which business sector you finally wish to work.
Our graduates enter the employment market with a proven track
record of commitment and achievement in their work placements, and
a sound knowledge of how to put their skills to practical use.
Though internships are not a formal part of our postgraduate degrees, it is strongly recommended
that students use the summer months to undertake practical work
experience.
BA (Hons) in International Business and BA (Hons) in
International Events Management
Work experience is an integral part of the undergraduate degree
programmes and all enrolled students will be required to
complete a minimum of 36 weeks by the end of the programme (usually
in semester breaks).
In addition, students can take the optional PLP module
(Placement Learning Project). This replaces one of the Study
Periods Abroad with a minimum of 16 weeks' assessed work
experience.
Overseas Students – Work Permits:
Overseas students from non-EU/EEA countries do
not require a work permit to take part-time and vacation
work. A number of restrictions will apply:
- The student must not work more than 20 hours
a week during term time, except where a work placement or
internship is to be undertaken as a necessary part of the course of
study as agreed by the education institution.
