What is the Integrated Business Foundation Course?
The Integrated Business Foundation has been designed to provide you with a sound basis for progression to the undergraduate programmes at EBSL.
You can expect to participate in all types of learning experience, from lectures to highly practical group exercises. Every situation aims to develop some business skill - creativity, entrepreneurship, leadership, communication, organisation - and to increase your capacity for learning.
Is the Integrated Foundation Course for You?
If your present qualifications do not allow you to be admitted directly onto our BA (Hons) degrees, or you simply want to feel more confident about studying business with languages, you can enrol on our BA (Hons) with Integrated Business Foundation course.
Course Length
The BA (Hons) with Integrated Business Foundation is a four to five-year programme, divided into one year* of Foundation studies and 3.5 years of BA studies, or four years for the BA (Hons) International Business & Chinese Studies.
Successful Foundation students are guaranteed progression to the BA (Hons) degree courses at EBSL.**
* Fast-Track
We offer a fast-track route within the Integrated Business Foundation, which allows you to complete the course in just one semester.
In addition to achieving a 60% average in all first-semester modules, you must demonstrate an IELTS proficiency level of 6.5 (tested internally). Upon meeting these requirements, you may progress onto the BA (Hons) degrees without taking the second semester of the course.
** Students must achieve 60% in the second semester in order to be considered for progression to the degree programme.

The Integrated Business Foundation aims to prepare you for entry into higher education, ensuring you possess the necessary knowledge, values, skills and competencies to undertake one of our degree programmes.
The course is carefully designed to focus on the academic areas most useful to your future studies.
We place great emphasis on encouraging you to reflect on your learning, and to be increasingly self-motivated and self-critical. Assignments and examinations become progressively more challenging and demanding throughout the course.
