Study Abroad

All undergraduate degrees at EBS London incorporate a period of study abroad. Because it is such an important component of our courses, full details and information are provided on a dedicated micro-site.

This page contains a brief overview of the Study Abroad programme.

Programme Requirementsstudy abroad

Studying abroad is one of the parts of the EBS London learning experience our students most look forward to. Students have an exciting choice of destinations for the two study abroad semesters needed to complete the EBS London degree.

During your Study Period Abroad, you will attend selected academic courses alongside native speaker students and, in most cases, take the same examinations as they do.

Study abroad is a highly demanding experience, and you will need to be well prepared before you go. To be eligible for study abroad, you must have successfully completed all of the core modules of your degree at Level 1 and Level 2. Of course, this includes the relevant language courses.

When and Where

canada post gradStudy Abroad takes place in semesters 4 and 5; you may complete the two semesters at the same institution or select a different location for the second semester.

EBS London has carefully selected over 70 partner institutions on the basis of academic excellence as our study abroad partners. These institutions are in countries ranging from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Uruguay to the USA, as well as many across Europe.

Every year we establish partnerships with more universities, so to see the full range of choices available, please refer to the Study Abroad section of this website and search our partner database - please select EBS Outbound.

When the time comes to plan your study abroad, your university choice will be based on the language(s) in which you specialise, as well as on a close match between the specialist expertise of the host institution and your own developing career plan.

The International Programmes Office will provide you with personal guidance to ensure that the most appropriate partner institution is selected for you.

The Benefits

Study abroad presents you with the opportunity to reach a commanding level of fluency in your chosen language(s), to study specialist options which will take you closer towards your chosen career, and to build up some practical work experience in other countries.

There is no question that you will come back a different person. Study abroad is a stimulating experience and highly prized by employers.

Employers are keen to recruit from EBS London because of the value study abroad adds to our degree programmes, enabling our students to become flexible and experienced business professionals.

EBS London participates in the Socrates-Erasmus programme and in the European Credit Transfer System.

"My semester at SFSU was a fun, enriching and unforgettable experience. Even though it is such a large university, the staff and students were extremely welcoming and it was easy to make friends. San Francisco is one of the most liberal and exciting cities in the US and student life has much to offer both on and off campus. Whether sightseeing, attending student performances or going to the famous international students’ Pint Nights, every second was thoroughly enjoyed!"
