BA (Hons) International Business with French
French is an official language in 29 countries; it is one of the
leading languages in Europe and other continents with 113 million
Francophones worldwide.
La Francophonie has 55 member states. On an international
level, after English, French is the most commonly taught second
language in the world today.
Why
Combine French and International Business?
In many countries of the Middle East, the Far East and Africa,
the French language still enjoys a privileged position in
administration, commerce and international business due to
old cultural ties with France and the existence of a large
French-speaking population in these areas.
It is also an exceptionally important language globally for
cultural, commercial, and diplomatic reasons. Indeed, it is one of
the official languages of many prestigious international
organisations such as: The African Union, The European Union,
FIFIA, International Court of Justice, International Olympic
Committee, Interpol, NATO, Organisation of the Islamic Conference,
United Nations and its agencies, World Trade Organisation and
others.
The combination of French and International Business therefore
opens up a wide range of attractive international opportunities for
the French speaking graduate, across for profit and not-for-profit
sectors.
