Placement Learning Project

In addition to the standard requirement of 36 weeks of work placement, you may elect to replace one of the Study Abroad semesters (semesters 4 & 5) with a period of 4-5 months of assessed work placement (Placement Learning Project).

This gives you the chance to really make the most of the practical application of your theoretical business knowledge.

This is the equivalent of two Level 2 Study Abroad electives, counting for 30 credits, and will be assessed on the same basis as a Study Abroad semester, gaining credits but with the grade not being counted towards classification.

If you wish to elect to take this route through the degree, you must inform the BA Programme Director by the end of your first semester.

"My semester at SFSU was a fun, enriching and unforgettable experience. Even though it is such a large university, the staff and students were extremely welcoming and it was easy to make friends. San Francisco is one of the most liberal and exciting cities in the US and student life has much to offer both on and off campus. Whether sightseeing, attending student performances or going to the famous international students’ Pint Nights, every second was thoroughly enjoyed!"
