EBS London 2007 International Lecture
Brazil: Economic Perspectives in the 21st Century
Wednesday 9th May at 6.30pm in Tuke Hall
Goldman Sachs Global Economist, Jim O'Neill in his 2003 report
Dreaming with
BRICS: The Path to 2050, predicts the economic potential of
Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) will become the four most
dominant economies by the year 2050.
This would result in the BRIC economies encompassing 40% of the
world population with a combined GDP of 14.951 trillion US dollars.
With economists predicting both China and India's growth rates
hitting double figures during 2007, how can Brazil compete as an
emerging economy with an average growth rate of 3%?
