Among the most memorable sport event was t he Squash tournament that was held at Lords cricket ground. Besides offering squash and indoor tennis facilities, Lords is the biggest cricket stadium in the world. The squash tournament was organised by John El-Eini and Johan Ekstrand of the event management team. A healthy competition was guaranteed due to the fact that 20 people participated. The winner of the tournament was Phillip Schladerer who won the final match against Johan Ekstrand
Having the opportunity to play at these traditional English sport amenities added to the whole atmosphere as well as the outstanding performances of the participants that made the event an unforgettable experience. |
A highlight of the year was the pool tournament organised at the Student pub. Pool tournaments have a long tradition at EBS and are very popular. The former champion, who had already won the last 3 pool tournaments, made it into the half final but was defeated in a dramatic match by the new champion-who used to play as a professional in Moscow. The winner received a pool cue and a bottle of champagne. The whole event was very well organised and executed, and everybody had a fabulous time. |
