  • WorkloadYou must register for 4 business courses chosen from a list of courses approved by EBS London. You may replace one business course with a Spanish language course. The course list is available from the IPO. The language of instruction and examination for all the courses must be Spanish. All courses are taught in both Catalan and Spanish BUT at different slots in the timetable. Make sure you are registering for courses taught in Spanish (Castellano).

    Spanish Courses La Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona offers Spanish courses for Exchange Students before and during the semesters. Please note that you must pay to register for them but Erasmus students are entitled to 50% reduction on the total price.

  • Pass RequirementsTo pass a course you need to gain a mark of 5 or above. To pass the semester you will need to pass 2 of the 4 courses. Please note that you must take all 4 exams!

    Please make sure that you fax us your Learning Agreement before your timetable is finalised at your host institution. If there is any problem with your courses, you will have time to change them (generally you can change your courses if necessary during the first 3 weeks of the semester).
  • ApplicationFill in the application form and return it to the IPO (Jebb 201)at EBS London. You will also need to submit two passport photos.

  • Visa RequirmentsIf you need a visa you must contact the Spanish Embassy or Consulate in your home country and ask for a D-type student visa. Once you arrive at the UAB you should come to our Office at Plaa Cvica to request the student permit. Once in Spain you cannot obtain the student permit if you did not obtain the type D visa at your home country.

  • LifestyleLiving in Barcelona

    The Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona is located 20 km from the centre of Barcelona and is well connected to the centre with frequent direct trains.

    It is a real on-campus city, with parks, leisure areas and all the basic services that residents require (laundry, bakery, supermarket, etc.) and regular road and rail connections with Barcelona, Sabadell, Cerdanyola del Valls and Sant Cugat del Valls.

  • AccomodationThe campus provides many facilities and services for housing students. The University Village (Vila Universitria) is strategically located, offering comfortable accommodation for students or members of faculty who come from outside the area. The 640 residential units vary in size, providing accommodation for a total of 1,806 people with a wide variety of available services and benefits.

    The Village provides residential units to suit all requirements, designed to offer both comfortable living conditions as well as the best possible environment for study.
